September Issue Special
Secure your spot by July 25 and enjoy a 20% discount on advertising in our September issue. Kick off the school year with maximum impact!
Frequency Discounts
Commit to advertising in at least 4 issues between September and May to access our special 4x and 9x rates. The more you advertise, the more you save.
Educational Institutions
Educational institutions receive a special 15% discount, making it even more affordable to reach the largest community of music educators, students, and advocates.
Print Advertising Rates & Sizes
The following rates apply to advertising in Southwestern Musician and the Convention program. Both publications feature a page size of 8.5″ x 11″. Southwestern Musician is saddle-stitched, while the Convention program is perfect bound. Rates vary based on the following:
Color
Ad rates vary by color usage. Cover ads must be 4-color. For B&W + 1 Color ads, files may include black plus one CMYK swatch, used at any percentage.
Frequency
Discounted rates begin at 4 and 9 insertions per year. These rates apply only once the insertion frequency is contracted and are not retroactive.
Discounts
Discounts apply to the base rate only (Black & White rates below). If qualifying for multiple discounts, only the highest discount will be applied.
Special Placement
Requests incur a 15% fee on the base rate before discounts. Examples include: placement in the first third of the publication, left/right pages, specific divisional columns, or 2-page center spreads. See #9 in Terms and Conditions.

All rates are for a single ad insertion. Previous cover advertisers receive prefence for cover requests.
