Private Instructor, Brass

Application Instructions:
The J.J. Pearce High School Band Learning Community is seeking a trumpet private instructor to take on students from 6th through 8th grades for the 26-27 school year. This position will involve working with students at Parkhill Junior High, Richardson North Junior High, and their feeder elementary campuses. The J.J. Pearce Cluster is part of Richardson ISD and maintains a strong tradition of musical excellence and collaborative teaching.

Pearce Band private teacher profile:
1. Excellent musician
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills when interacting with parents, students, and band staff
3. Ability to manage a busy calendar and keep a consistent weekly schedule
4. Willingness to work with a wide range of student ability levels
5. Knowledge of a wide variety of solo literature and foundational techniques
6. Understanding of the TMEA All-Region process (middle school and high school level)
7. Interest in participating in and nurturing a section culture within the studio
8. Bachelor's Degree preferred
