Forney ISD is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, elementary music teacher at Claybon Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Elementary campuses serve grades K-4. The ideal candidate will be a student centered teacher with a well-rounded education with a vocal and instrumental pedagogy background. Claybon is one of six campuses in Forney ISD following the new Engage model where campuses will have a specialty pathway on campus.

Great support from campus and district administration. The Forney ISD elementary music team consists of twelve teachers with many opportunities for collaboration within the district. In past years', teachers have attended SMU elementary music workshops during the summer, regularly attend other outside elementary music professional development sessions and bring in many local clinicians on staff development days. Forney ISD and West Music hosts the Level UP elementary music workshop sessions during the school year that provide hands on professional development. Campuses have an honor choir as well as students who take part in the Forney ISD All City Choir. Forney ISD has implemented a district wide elementary music curriculum consisting of Purposeful Pathways, Conversational Solfege, and First Steps in Music. Every music classroom in Forney ISD is equipped with a great inventory and teach in a dedicated music room. This is a great time to be a part of an elementary fine art team!
