As the November 5 general election nears and early voting begins, I invite you to review the results of a recent fine arts education questionnaire distributed by Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Arts Education Campaign (TAEC). The online questionnaire was sent to all qualified candidates campaigning for seats in the Texas Legislature and State Board of Education. The purpose was to learn about their perspectives on the importance of fine arts education.
2024 Candidate Fine Arts Education Questionnaire Results
As of September 25, 2024, 113 candidates had completed the survey. In some cases, no candidate contact information was available; in other cases, the candidate did not complete the survey. This is noted on the results webpage.
Next Steps:
- Forward this email to your friends and family who live in Texas to extend the reach of this important information.
- If your candidate did not complete the survey, reach out to them to ask them about their perspective on the importance of fine arts education.
- Register with TAEC to stay informed and support fine arts education for all. TAEC encourages state policymakers to protect and enhance fine arts education in Texas public schools. Additionally, the campaign also keeps registrants aware of pending policy changes that could affect this well-rounded education.
Thank you for your interest and for sharing this important information with your community.
Sincerely,
