All-State Mixed - Rehearsal Notes

• Alto 1: Sing the Sop 3 part throughout except for the following measures: m. 16-20, m. 41-43: (Updated 5/24/10)
• Tenor 1: m. 12-14, ms. 39, 40 & 43
  • Area A-D, sing the upper notes
  • Area E-G, sing the middle notes
• Tenor 2: Sing bass line, top notes m. 14-18
• Tenor 2: m. 39 & 40: sing down stemmed notes and @ m. 43 sing the A flat

• m. 15: The left hand piano reductions should mirror the bass voicing (and of beat 3 is incorrect in reduction)

• Sing the appropriate part within the 8 part audition divisi where alternate notes are included. Please observe all alternate note divisi.

• m. 4, treble staff downbeat: B should be flat, to be an E flat major chord.

• The downbeat of m. 32 of the del signo repeat was not played by the piano. Voices on the vocal CDs sang the doots in parenthesis to accommodate the downbeat.
