|Booster Club Registration|
On the recommendation of the Public Relations Task Force, the TMEA Executive Board initiated a process for booster clubs to register online for the purposes of advocacy efforts. To promote statewide input to the legislature on issues that may impact arts education, this database along with our membership database will serve as an effective vehicle to communicate across the state quickly. We now have the capability to send out 9,000 emails to members plus emails to booster club presidents in a matter of a couple hours. Please take the time to register the president of your booster club. Please help get the word out on your campus to teachers who have booster clubs supporting other fine arts subject areas such as theater arts or dance. We would like for them to register as well. Certainly this database could be used not only "to put out a fire" if necessary, but to support positively any legislation that might strengthen arts education.
