Silence and Darken Your Electronic Devices

  • Before you walk into a clinic or concert, completely silence your cell phone and any other mobile device and put it away (you don’t want to be that person whose phone is audibly vibrating during a music group’s pianissimo performance). And yes, this definitely means no texting. Please show presenters at least the same respect you expect your students to show you in the classroom.
  • No recordings of any kind are allowed in concerts or clinics (video or audio).
  • Also, please not bring babies or small children to concerts.

Is Your Budget/Program in Jeopardy? The Doctor is In!
Music education advocacy expert John Benham will be available at the TMEA convention for one-on-one dialogue. Behnam has worked as an advocacy consultant building and saving music programs for 30 years. He is a nationally recognized consultant for crisis intervention on behalf of music programs in public schools. When you arrive at the convention, go to East Registration to sign up for a meeting with John Benham. Our thanks go to Benham for extending his expertise beyond his commitment as a College Division Featured Clinician. Benham will be available Thursday, 2-6 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-noon.

TMEA Welcomes Magnifica Brass Quintet
