Divisions

TMEA comprises five Divisions: Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary and College. A Vice-President is elected in statewide elections to guide the activities of each Division. The Collegiate Texas Music Educators (CTME) functions under the umbrella of the College Division.

Regions

The state is divided into seven Areas that are subdivided into 28 geographic regions (each Area has four Regions). This enables each Region to carry out TMEA objectives at the local level. Each Region has representation on the State Board of Directors.
