AcknowledgementsThe TMEA Housing Bureau will send acknowledgement of your reservation. Please review all information for accuracy. Upon receipt of your hotel request form, acknowledgements will be sent as follows:
If you do not receive your acknowledgement in this time frame, please contact TMEA Housing Bureau by fax at (210) 207-6702 or by email at housing@visitsanantonio.com. You will not receive a confirmation from the hotel. Room Rates/TaxesTo take advantage of the special TMEA rates, book your reservation by January 17, 2012. After that date, TMEA room blocks may be released and hotels may charge higher rates. All rates are per room and are subject to 16.75% occupancy tax (subject to change); of that amount, 6% (state tax) can be waived with a school check and tax exemption certificate that must be presented at check-in. Special requests cannot be guaranteed; however, hotels will do their best to honor all requests. Hotels will assign specific room types upon check-in, based on availability. GuaranteeAll reservations require a credit card valid through February 2012 or check deposit guarantee at the time of confirming reservations. Requests received without a valid guarantee will be returned and will not be processed. Credit cards may be billed for the guarantee anytime after January 17, 2012 at the discretion of your confirmed hotel. DepositsIf you choose to mail a check deposit guarantee, it should be made payable to TMEA Housing Bureau and mailed along with your housing request form to the address provided. All check deposit guarantees must be in the amount of $200. Cancellation PenaltyTMEA Housing Bureau must receive all cancellations on or prior to January 17, 2012 to avoid a penalty. Any cancellations received after January 17, 2012 will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee. This fee will be charged within seven days of cancellation. After January 24, 2012, cancellations must be directed to your assigned hotel at least 72 hours prior to arrival or a one night's room and tax charge will be assessed by the hotel. Please note that your confirmed hotel may assess an early departure fee for departure date changes at check in. ChangesContinue to use the TMEA Housing Bureau for changes and cancellations through January 24, 2012. Beginning January 25, 2012, changes and cancellations must be directed to your confirmed hotel. |
