Trinity University’s KRTU jazz station (91.7 FM) broadcast live and compiled recordings of performances and interviews throughout the 2010 TMEA Clinic/Convention to create a one-hour radio documentary. It’s a glimpse into the 2010 convention, highlighting the work of the high school musicians and educators from across the state. KTRU wants to share this documentary with teachers, administrators, and students to underscore the importance of arts education in Texas and arts patronage in our communities. Highlights of the documentary include:

• Music by the 2010 TMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble conducted by Ronald C. McCurdy of USC Thornton School of Music
• Highlights of the Kashmere Stage Band success story
• Advocacy information on the importance and future of music education
