Performing Group
Parents and Chaperones

Congratulations on your child's selection to participate in the 2008 TMEA Clinic/Convention. This is a most prestigious honor. Review the following information to ensure you are well-prepared for your visit to the nation's premier music educators convention.

Directions/Parking
The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is located in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Most performances are held in the convention center. Click here for directions to the convention center. From Thursday-Saturday, free parking with shuttle service will be available at the Alamodome Lot C. Click here for details.

Housing
As we are unable to offer block housing for performing group members, parents and chaperones, we suggest that you use any available reservation system to locate housing (e.g., Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.). Because of high demands on downtown hotels, it may be most effective to locate housing outside of downton San Antonio.

Attending Performances
All performances are located in the convention center. The performing group director will know in advance of convention the concert time and location. Check with your child's director for those details. Click here to view the convention center floorplan.

Convention Badges
Entrance to concerts does not require a convention badge. However, entrance to the Exhibit Halls does require a badge. Before going to the exhibit halls, obtain your complimentary family badges at the registration area Family booth. TMEA encourages you to experience the exhibit halls to see the latest products and services available. Chaperone badges are requested in advance by the Performing Group director and will be held with that group's badges in total at the Family booth for pick up only by the group's director. Click here for more information about badges.

Performance Recording Sales
Some performances will be available CD and DVD. After the convention, go to www.MarkCustom.com to order a CD and/or DVD.
