This website is the official listing of the Orchestra Division All-State Audition Material. All amendments, corrections and errata will become official only when it is published there.

Errata will not be posted in the Southwestern Musician magazine. Should you discover any errata in the music that may have been missed, please email the State Orchestra Division Chair, James Edwards.

Please adhere to the following:

  1. Editions listed.
  2. Metronomic parameters.
  3. Bowings, styles, fingerings and specific notations.

Judges will be instructed to penalize students that do not follow these guidelines.

    • #32 (Larghetto)  - Tempo:  Eighth note = 102-110
    • Errata
      • The correct fine is at the end of m. 8 (5/21/08)

  • Popper: 40 Etudes, Op.73 for Cello, IMC
    • #10 (Appassionato) - Tempo:  Quarter note = 80-88
  • Duport: Twenty-One Etudes Book 1 for Cello, Schirmer

    • Errata
      • m. 10 - the last three notes should read E, F natural, F sharp
